There welcome been concerted efforts aimed at shutting the rampant batch in drugs. These efforts have been made by all stake holders in the join States over the past 40 years since then serving President Richard Nixon launched the U.S Governments war on drugs.1 Several progressive steps have been made targeted at countering the flourishing use and sale of drugs in the U.S. One such stride has been the advocacy for a paradigm intermission in the war against drugs. One way of accomplishing this has been looking at possible ways of shrinking the demand for drugs among the users.2 This represents a shift from looking at this war as a primarily, criminal justice problem3. When looking at the war on drugs as a criminal justice problem, the emphasis of tackling it involves arrest, incarceration and interdiction4. How is Jesus described in Matthew's Gospel as the fulfillment of Essay

How is rescuer described in Matthews Gospel as the fulfillment of Judaic hope - essay ExampleIn addition, he expected, in some respects that the gentiles would adhere to some aspects of the Torah beyond the laws that were organize for status or social distinction. Therefore, any portrayal in the 1st century of delivery boy, obviously, would reflect savior as a Jew as was the case. However, it is the Gospel of Matthew, among all the other Gospels, that stresses the Jewish origins of deliverer. In the Gospel of Matthew, it is discernable that Jesus is the ultimate fulfillment of the scriptures of the Jews in more than a dozen citations of fulfillment. Matthew starts by presenting Him as Davids son and an anointed king. Jesus, in the Gospel of Matthew, is presented as the new coming of Moses, for example, in the birth narrative. In the speaking on the Mount, Matthew alludes to the continued theme contending that Jesus was the prophet whom the Jews had been expecting like Moses, and this is addressed in Matthew chapters 5 to 73. Here, Jesus continues to affirm the validity of the Torah to his followers. He exemplifies that his intention is not to abolish Moses law or the earlier prophets further that he had arrived to fulfill them. He also claims that not an iota will pass from the Torah until it is accomplished in its totality. Jesus also teaches that anyone who relaxes these laws, even the least of them, and causes other men to do so will be the least in heaven and vice versa. He finishes by stating that unless the righteousness of his followers exceeds the Pharisees and scribes, they will not see heaven. The followers of Jesus, therefore, were required to obey the Torah in a manner that was better than the Pharisees were. The Pharisees had a reputation, both in the Gospels and outside it for following the Torah carefully in their everyday life beyond what was technical by other Jews4. This comes through as a key to the elucidation of the following mate rial that Jesus quotes Moses law and interprets the law in a manner, which affirms in the strongest terms the laws original intent as Jesus in the Gospel of Matthew comprehended it. These do not seek to replace Moses law but, instead, present a radicalization of why God gave the laws in the view of Matthew. Some of those in the community that Matthew wrote the Gospel for, as strong as Matthew himself, evidently went on placing importance on adhering to the Jewish law and continue being Jewish in this manner5. The Gospel of Matthew was written around the year 80-85 CE, which was about twenty years following the cobblers last of the apostle6. It is, therefore, clear that another person and it wrote this Gospel is likely that this person was trained in the law of the Jews as Matthew was. As with the rest of the Gospels, Matthew possesses a unique perspective since it interprets Jesus life for a specific audience. Matthews first readers constituted of Jews and Christian converts, who previously gentiles were living in Antioch. The first Christians were converts from Judaism, although when the church began to accept gentiles, conflicts abounded. For instance, they had to purpose whether the later converts would be required to convert to Judaism first on being accepted into the Christian faith7. The statement was as to whether they would have to observe traditional customs of the Jews and follow the Law of Moses. The argument also

The other issue is the fact that he is the provided pharmacists available at the hospital and thus patients may be stranded.According to the states law, Rogers has completely offices to act according to his religious, moral and ethical convictions as this does not call for civil, criminal and disciplinary put to death (Grady, 2006). The hospital cannot therefore fire him.It is the legal right of every patient to be attended to considering in a community hospital (Morrison & Monagle, 2009). It also may be that the patient is in pain and rattling needs the medication, but because of the religion conviction of Rodgers, he she cannot get the medication. In my view, any decision should be to the advantage of the patient.I would advise the hospitals management to get another pharmacist t o work alongside Rodgers. This is because Rodgers has the right not to remit his services to patients coming from doctors who do abortion due to his religious conviction. It is therefore best(p) to get a partner pharmacist in order to serve the interests of the patients and at the same measure keep Rogers as they cant fire

Can democracy emerge in any country or must there be some Essay

Can res publica emerge in any res publica or moldiness there be some pre-requisites in place beforehand - Essay ExampleThe paper tells that democracy as an operational policy-making framework does not simply emerge in any country it is built. Thus, there are bounds to the advantages of being informed by assumptions from historical sociology and pragmatic political analysis, which usage retrospection, in recognising prerequisites for democracy. Three aspects act together to decide which direction a society will get throughout the course of regime change the choices of the Defender and Challenger, the Defenders reaction to the choices of the Mass Public, and the method of the Defender during the discussions. A Defender and a Challenger argue in the discussions about the form of political system that will be established as the consequent of the transition stage of the course of democratisation. fit to Gill, each desires to gain a result for the crop of regime choice that direc tly resembles their best regime. tear down though it serves an important function in the process as a provider of knowledge or necessary resources, the Mass Public does not participate in the discussions. The Defender is the current player, and hence the adherent of the existing state of affair. It is either the totalitarian government whose power was destabilised by the passing of a major(ip) event or the entity that deposed the previous government as a part of the major event. The Challenger aims to seize control from the Defender. It whitethorn aim to set up a competitive democratic structure, or it may aim to establish a new totalitarian structure under its power. The Mass Public has choices as well about the form of political system it would want the process of regime choice to vex (Diamond & Gunther 2001). Such choices reveal the degree to which a negotiation among opposing motives is probable and thus how simple or complex the compromises will be. The response of the Defend er to the Mass Public ideas reveals its evaluation of its opportunities to attain its most favoured result for the process (Gill 2002). According to Gill (2002), the technique the Defender takes on during the compromises demonstrates whether or not it thinks it should negotiate with the Challenger. Thus, the process of regime choice may produce major results, namely, sustained totalitarianism and democratisation. There are peculiar(a) directions through the process

Comparing Poems From Other Cultures Essay Example for Free

comparability Poems From Other Cultures Es set upIn these two poems, identity is seen to be important, for in half-caste the germ is trying to taste acceptance from others around him for who he is as a person, plainly in expect for my tongue the author is losing her identity and is seeking help in finding come to the fore who she as a person. Half-caste portrays someone who feels that throng label others without knowing them as sight first, and how much it good deal hurt them. For John Agard saysExplain y delectationlf, wha you soaked, when yu say half caste. This shows that he is confused about how he portrays himself to others, and how others perceive him. This make you ideate that the way in people perceives you on first appearance makes you who you ar.Search for my tongue is like a cry out to others to help with her lost mother tongue, and she doesnt know what her identity is because she is confused about which linguistic process is her. It also shows how people dont represent how she feels or understand what she is going through with her struggle with the two styles that she uses. For it saysYou ask me what I mean by saying I exhaust lost my tongue. This shows that she feels isolated from others as they do not understand the internal struggle she is going through having to lose her original identity her mother tongue to a new identity, a foreign tongue. In half-caste, the impression is quite angry and harsh. I feel that the tone is displayed in this way because he is angry with others for judging him for beingnessness mixed race, and the prejudices that everybody has towards others. For change surface though in the poem it just confronts the prejudice at half-caste people, on that point is always prejudice towards everybody, not just half-caste people. So in this poem he is challenging the fact that prejudice is wrong and unfair, and hurts people because they are being judged before people know them properly as a person. Some of this aggressive confrontational effect is evident by the lineSo spiteful dem dont want de sun pass. This shows that prejudice people are so spiteful that they dont think half-caste should be able to walk past them in the street. This shows that people can be severely hurt by a label, and that because of the way peoples minds have been brought up, they believe they are superordinate word to so called half-castes, and believe the half-castes not worthy enough to even walk the same streets as the headmaster people. In search, the tone is quite confused and lonely, and is unsure of who she is as a person. For her original identity was gujarati, but having had convert to a foreign language she feels that she has lost her original identity, and has been forced to take on a different identity because of the different language she has to communicate to others in the place she lives in now. For she saysYou could not use them both, even if you thought that way. This shows that she feels she is losing her sense of identity, and feels she has to choose between the life she lives now and her original identity. She feels that the new language is pushing the other one away, and dominating her life so much that she forgets how her life used to be before it was controlled by the foreign language. In half-caste Agard rejects the conventional punctuation, for there isnt a single comma or full stop in the whole of the poem. Also, he misspells half of the words in his poem measuredly to help get his message across to the reader. The lack of punctuation and misspelling is all for the purpose of the poem. As people think that he is half-caste, they believe him to be incapable of any proper thoughts, feelings or being capable to produce something that could make an impact on somebody elses life. It is also used to strike the reference hard with his message of how everybody is equal no matter what their ethnic desktop is. For he saysWid de whole of yu midpoint an de whole of yu ear a n the whole of yu mind. This shows that he feels that those who mock him are the whole who considered themselves to be perfect and have no faults of their own, and are known to be the superior race. It shows that he knows that they like downgrading him by saying hes half-caste, and has solitary(prenominal) half a mind, showing that they think he is incapable of proper thoughts, or proper feelings. In Search, the punctuation is consistent, but the poem structure is always different. The line lengths are all different, and there are no stanzas to separate the poem out it is all just one long stanza. In Half-caste, there is 3 stanzas of various lengths, to help get the meaning of the poem across better to the audience and the poems lines are all of similar lengths, to keep it sharp and continuous. The layout of search, with its punctuation and line lengths shows that she is trying to find some symmetry in her life she is trying to find what she knows in life to find in the end that sh e can, in her dreams. The fact that she also includes both English and Gujarati in her poem shows that even though she does use the English language, Gujarati is still an important part of her life, as it makes up part of who she is as a person. For she saysEverytime I think Ive forgottenit blossoms out of my mouth. This shows that even if she forgets, or is so used to using the foreign language, she cannot forget her native language even if she tried. This is because it has been a part of her culture and identity for so long, she cannot part from it, no matter what she is face with or what ever happens to her.So the identity that is portrayed in half-caste is no matter what ethnic background you come from, no matter what you look like as an individual, we are all equal gentleman beings and all deserve the right to be able to live our lives to the full. The identity that is portrayed in search is one that suggests that you cannot lose who you are as a person, no matter what you are faced with, even if you have to change your language or move somewhere else, you cannot change who you truly are as a person.

The following pillow slips and examples will help support my point of view. quite a little have different backgrounds. Students, especially in international schools, have varying backgrounds, which may result in different views.A classroom is a place for learning experiences, therefore, it is crucial that varying opinions are brought to the table. carry off the example of a business class. In discussing whether or not coffee stands should be locate inwardly the campus or outside, the teacher may Do you think that students will always understand every exclusive thing the teacher lecture about if they werent allow to ask questions? In co mplicated classes such as math or science there are many things that usually confuse the students. It is close impossible for the teacher to be able to make sure that everyone understands, let alone knowing whom doesnt what. Courage. When your kids grow up, they do not work alone. Courage is an important aspect in working with others, whether it is to tend or just to follow. In the case of Pearson Hardman, an international law firm, they seek not only people with knowledge but also people who have individuality, people who could think for themselves and are not algophobic to express their opinion. Where is a better place to develop those traits than in classrooms.Classrooms where students are allowed, and encouraged, to speak out their mind. In conclusion, it is hard to make all people view things in the same way, even in the case of whether or not classrooms should be interactive. Some people may fit out that it should not be because discussions may lead to the teacher not bein g able to teaches everything he intended to. However, to me, I strongly agree that classrooms should be interactive. The examples and cases mentioned above have supported my point of view to the best.

The goal is to provide better response to customer de mands spot rewarding the customer and get hold ofing this in an efficiently fast manner.A marketing plan moldiness be developed to inform current and potential customers of the weapons platform and encourage them to participate and take advantage of the benefits offered by the plan. In utilizing an outside source for the computer programme, Kudler alone in allowinging be able to provide a good human relationship between the IT resources of the outside source and the internal sales and inventory dodgings. There is overly a inquire to modify the two different entropybases and the GUI in sight to in allow for smooth data slay and communication.Kudlers specific goals be to improve customer satisfaction in order to increase pit loyalty, cut speak tos by increasing supply efficiency, and increase sales which will government issue in higher revenue and profits for the company. In order to ensure success of this project, trustworthy aspects will be monitored throughou t the duration. This will allow Kudler to view what aspects be successful and what aspects are not. The main aspects that will be monitored are modern customer enrollment into the program, tracking of purchases from current and repeat customers, tracking of customer reward points, duration of participation from customers in the program, and total customer redeem points, and difference in personify of redeemed items versus wholesale/supplier costs. bridge overing Measures and Project FeasibilityIn order for Kudler Fine Foods to continue proceeds and experience profitability, the design and murder of a Frequent Shopper Program moldiness be accomplished. The program will film to utilize the best easy computer computer ironware and bundle package to accomplish their goals and to promote growth as well. The chosen system will need to address both short and coherent term necessitate and problems that could arise. This is through with(p) through a development phase that will combine all aspects and products that Kudler wishes to incorporate into the program. This phase must address the current budget allocated by Kudler for the implementation of the program man incorporating all demand requirements.Current Business Process SummaryProposed carcass RequirementsThe proposed new system must be able-bodied of meeting the requirements set forth by the key stakeholders within the company. This list of requirements will be presented, discussed, and hence edited based on what is needed, what is within budget cons civilizets, and what is decided on by the stakeholders. This list of in operation(p) requirements proposed to Kudler is below.Functional Requirements ashes is capable of new customer enrollment scheme is able to track purchases for all customers remains is able to track and store rewards points for individual customersSystem allows for rewards points to be redeemedSystem allows for conceive of customer rewards points on POS terminalsSystem allow s input changes from POS terminalsSystem will sync with company website for tracking of rewards pointsSystem allows for data from each location to be stored and chafeed in a central locationSystem must be compatible with current system in place for easy transition.Determine RequirementsThe goal of the requirements for this system is a key part in the development of the Frequent Shopper Program (FSP). There are many methods that outho use of goods and services be used to worthyly determine the requirements needed for an efficient system. These can range from guileless observation of current outgrowthes and interviews with employees and focusing, to Joint Application Design (JAD) procedures. The comm unless used methods of observation, interviews, etc., can help analysts jot exact requirements based on substance ab drug user input and business makees. According to Charvat (2003), One of the biggest benefits of a proper user requirements specification is that youll be able to plan and estimate your project correctly, decreasing the chance of cost and season overruns. The analyst must listen to the employees and gain a thorough understanding of all business processes before establishing the new system requirements. The Joint Application Development (JAD) is a newer and more organized essence of gathering information to base requirements on. This process is conducted by holding sessions in which key stakeholders and other key members of management are present and work together in the outline of the possible requirements. This allows for input from all levels within the institution and can yield better departs than other coarsely used methods. While this process can be lengthy, it keeps all key members involved up to date on the status of do during the development phase and analysis.List of Confirmed RequirementsSystem is capable of new customer enrollment obligatorySystem is able to track purchases for all customers authorizationSystem is able to tr ack and store rewards points for individual customersMandatorySystem allows for rewards points to be redeemedMandatorySystem allows for viewing of customer rewards points on POS terminalsMandatorySystem allows input changes from POS terminalsMandatorySystem will sync with company website for tracking of rewards pointsMandatorySystem allows for data from each location to be stored and accessed in a central locationMandatorySystem must be compatible with current system in place for easy transition nonobligatoryProposed System Process ViewFunctional Allocation ModelingThis aspect is very important in ensuring all software and hardware utilized for the new system is up to date and current as of the time of this service request. Since technology advancements are made almost every day, it is important to stay on the cutting edge. This is why the use of computer systems with an Intel core i7 processor is being chosen. The hardware that will be used wil1l be purchase directly from Dell. Thi s will give Kudler piece of mind with all hardware and full technical domiciliate with the warranty provided from Dell. The systems chosen will have 8GB of RAM (memory) and will take on 22 LCD monitors, core i7 processors with 4.5GHz speed, and come preloaded with Windows 7.. Each system will also be fit out with 10/100 ethernet capabilities to meet the standards of the current net profit in place at Kudler. The current innkeeper in place at Kudler will be replaced by Unix legions by SPARC Enterprise Software black flag system for retail environments. The POS terminals will be replaced by NCR RealPOS 82XRT terminals which offer scanners, cash drawers, touch screen displays, and construct in printing capabilities. VOIP phone systems and HP M521dn and HP 8015 printers will replace the outdated ones shortly in use.Logical Model of SystemPreliminary Design ModelDesign Trade-offIn order for Kudler Fine Foods to have a successful program, an examination of product roll out methodol ogy must be performed. There will need to be a specific balance in regards to the potpourri of cost, schedule and performance. It is understood that a program cannot incorporate all one-third aspects at once which thus leads to deciding what the appropriate trade-offs shall be within the requirements. The following depict possible scenarios of combining two aspects barely foregoing a third possible requirement. personify and ScheduleBy having a program that is cheap and keeps to the specified timelines the company will end up with one that is renderable and able to start up right away. If the schedule is mountainous for integration of the system with the current system whence the time to take advantage on the customers data would take time. The downside is that cheap is not always best and can publication in a low performance drop off that is fraught with hardware and software failures. If the program cannot function mighty there is a decent chance that it will fail outr ight due to customers not wanting(p) to take part in it.Schedule and PerformanceCreating a program that is scheduled to finish on time and functions to specified standards will allow Kudler customers to enjoy the programs rewards with little to no problems. In this instance the design trade-off is cost. The cost of the new proposed system would be quite moderate to high. The cost to get the correct and reliable information at every instance of time is the biggest challenge over the cost incurred in the infrastructure. Not keeping up with costs for the creation though will result in a project that has a finishing cost much higher than was originally budgeted for. The result can pull funding from other much needed programs or can cause the program to change such as the customer receiving rewards that are of a lowerquality than originally promised.Cost and PerformanceIf the project team is able to acquire the program at manageable costs duration maintaining a high quality performanc e status the customers will be able to enjoy the benefits of the rewards while allowing the company to stay within appropriate budget levels. All the previous customers data would be inputted and notwithstanding processed , which would take time The implementation of the new system would reduce costs of data budge and catering the customers in a suitable manner. The performance of the system would improve with enhanced ability to track information about customers , their p compose pattern and any change in their behavior In summing up to all the above , the company can reduce the extra cost of hoarding of goods and can single customers preferences. The possible tradeoff is that the program may not be finished as scheduled. This can result in a backlog for future projects. In addition, if the project takes an exceedingly longer amount of time than originally thought, it may become scrapped so a new plan can come in its place.Detailed Design ProcessThe prototype will drive the de sign of the forms and reports. The forms need to document predefined data in a clear and concise manner. Forms are typically based on one database record and have a stylized form. Reports are business documents that contain predefined data and data from many unrelated transactions or records used for reading or reviewing information. The forms and reports need to be end user social and clear to understand. They should not have simple rows or columns. The forms and reports can be designed using online in writing(p) tools. This will help standardize them with other organizations. The forms and reports should have a transparent human computer interface. In designing a form or report there are some fundamental questions that need to be addressed who will be the form/report user, the purpose, when will they be needed, who should have access to them, and who does it need to be delivered to? Answering these questions will allow the programmer to produce an effective form/report.The hardwa re and networks used should be consistent with what is already in use throughout the organization. Kudler Fine Foods uses UNIX operating system, HP blade server system and SAP as their software. The UNIX server needs to be upgraded to UNIX SPARC Enterprise software. The organization should upgrade their current version of SAP Retail SW to SAP for Retail. The HP Blade server should be upgraded to a Dell PowerEdge M620 blade server. The HP blade server is obsolete and this may create problems if future support or maintenance is needed. The CM2320nf printer is obsolete and should be upgraded with the HP M521dn printer. The HP 3015 printers, VOIP phones, armoured personnel carrier Smart UPS, POS terminals, 22 screens, and the NAS 10 TB storage server should all remain. If the organization is going to upgrade their software they should upgrade their hardware as indicated. This will allow the organization the ability to use deposit of the art hardware with state of the art software and ge t the most out of the system. They will be able to utilize the most current technological features currently available and extend the life of their infrastructure. pitying Computer InterfaceThe human computer interface should be designed with Microsoft Visual Basic. Net. Microsoft is a oecumenical program that employees are familiar with. apply Microsoft will allow end users to feel comfortable with the software because the commands for Microsoft can be applied. Training is easier for employees using Microsoft because so many of them are familiar with it. Microsoft reports can also be imported and exported to other mediums making it possible for end users to review the information in detail. They currently use Microsoft Windows 7. Using the most current version of software will extend the life of the system. Using outdated software will hinder the use of the most current applications and can make the program prematurely outdated. The organization should continue using Dell compute rs but they need to upgrade them to Dell XPS 8700 with an i7 processor, and 4.0 GHz. CD drives are no longer necessary, most information is transferred or stored via a memory stick.Physical System ModelWhat are information architecture diagrams? A diagram architecture is not necessary an architecture produced through diagrams. Instead, diagram architecture is an architecture that behaves like a diagram, indifferent tothe specific typifys of its realization. (Par. 13) When it comes to these diagrams you are taking the knowledge of the architecture and molding it into a visual and understandable aid laid out in sequence like patterns that show direction. And when these diagrams are designed of information architecture the process normally ends up back where it started making a loop back to the requirements. Producing this process of creating an information architecture diagrams can be a bit confusing and people end up getting information disconnected rather easy. Until a man named Philippe Kruchten came up with a brilliant way to look at the diagram. He introduced the concept of viewing the diagram through the eyes of the stakeholders. This process became known as the 4+1 information view model. The 4 is for the several views in which he describes as the Physical view, Logical view, development view and the process view. And the +1 is added to describe the scenarios. Modeling the architecture of a software system can be presented in two areas known as the naughty level design and design patterns. High level is the use of the core components who work together for the one mission of fulfilling the requirements. And depending on if the system is large enough it is possible that each component will sustain its own high level apparatus that will provide descriptions of its smaller parts. Design patterns are used here and there in the accompaniment designs of each of the components. A pattern is a waypoint that will direct you to the end solution of the program in which it is accommodating. If the same pattern is used through the design of separate programs it will act as a money saver as it saves in the purchase of new software and saves time in the design process. Testing Process SummaryThis phase will be somewhat similar to the readiness and implementation phase in some ways. The overall functionality of every aspect within the system must be tested to ensure it meets the requirements of the original project plan. All new software and hardware must go through thorough examination and a system of checks to accomplish this. This phase must be proceed throughout the life cycle of the system to continuously check for errors and bugs to keep the system performing at optimum capacity. To properly complete this phase there are addresslines to follow for testing that will surmount all aspects of the system.Hardware and SoftwareInstallation Process/Training PlanIn order to accomplish the implementation of the Frequent Shopper Program Success t o the full Kudler will need to implement the POS Server database flawlessly into the system in order to avoid data loss or corruption of data. The online Cash Registers and the in-store cash registers will be communicating to the same database and a seamless integration of these three components is crucial during the early implementation phase of the installation. The challenge during this phase of the installation is the software that will be used to bring these three components together. Continuous testing of the POS, The CMS, and the store website are needed to ensure that any bugs in the system are pointed out early. Once this is complete the Kudler will be able to focus on the smaller aspects of the program such as ensuring that all merchandise are coded correctly and the scanners are properly transmitting the data. The timeline for the implementation of this project is 2-3 months. The company should take measures during the implementation and installation regarding marketing to maintain the competitive edge and afford customers needed time to adjust to the idea of this new system. Time will be needed to train staff on the proper procedures for issuing and Frequent Shopper Cards, and the support teams will need training on how to troubleshoot system errors. The cashiers will need training on methods of marketing the programs and procedures for how to use, issue, and reissue cards to customers enrolling or already enrolled in the program. One of the keys to success of the program is ensuring the cashiers have a clear understanding of how to market the program. unsuccessful person to ensure marketing or the cards is upheld and train employees on how to properly process cards will be counterproductive to the program and could lower customer value.Installation ProcessInstallation is the organizational process of change over from the current information system to the new one. Managing the change to a new systemwhether or not it is computerized is one of the mo st nasty tasks in any organization (George, Hoffer, Valacich, 2012). After system construction, final acceptance tests performed during systems installation and evaluation ensures the development team has completed all tasks for the project. After determination that system operations are fully functional, the system is ready for installation. During the installation process, the old system becomes change and subsequently, the new system activated. The project manager and developers assemble the resources postulate for installation as the work begins.Resources required for installation of the system includes development team members and their various programming tools, including software. Project constraints in this instance have a comparatively narrow degree because of the streamlined and limited changes. The installation team begins by changing the modems over to broadband, and activating broadband connections at each store. At this stage, the installed applications including updates to the Point of Sale system software, the database management system, credit card interface software, and printer applications undergo testing for appropriate functionality. The entire system is then tested, and confirmed successful for use (George, Hoffer, Valacich, 2012). The installation of the Kudler Fine Foods Frequent Shopper Program and related plans for training will correspond with the timeline illustrated.Training PlanThe training and installation timeline provides a sufficient and organized schedule for installation and system testing, also providing an expedient finish to the system implementation processes. The project team develops training materials and support for training classes. The next abuse in the implementation phase is training system users, managers, and IT staff.Diagram 1 Installation and Training TimelineUser training and training documentation should include an overview of system features, capabilities and limitations, data ledger entry and me nu screen options, contents, and processing instructions, and procedures for requesting changes and reporting problems. Other important inclusions are troubleshooting examples and error situations including resolutions, and a subsection on frequently asked questions (Cashman, Rosenblatt, Shelly, 2013). As illustrated, Frequent Shopper Program System Training, the specific details for training specific groups vary according to employee function and extent.Documentation Plan SummaryDocumentation needs to be faultless and will also be a determining factor on the softwares success or failure. Documentation needs to include how to work the system, navigate it, its potential, how to use the data, and reporting methods. This should be done early on so the end user has reference materials. The documentation process should begin when develop the system. This will provide supporting material for developers and help develop future training materials. If the end user does not understand how to use the system or recall information for reporting purposes, the software is not serving its purpose. Most systems in place today are for information gathering and storage. If the end user cant access the collected information, then the software will be rendered useless. The system will need to be maintained so a maintenance manual of arms should be available to guide developers on how to make fixes and update the system. An operational manual should be available for the subject material expert, designers and users. This manual will help when they have questions on a process or how to get a certain part of the program to produce or collectthe proper data. A technical manual will be necessary so the technical writers can refer to the system structure when they have questions. The technical manual should include drawings, flowcharts, and the database structure. The system should have a training manual that has step by step instructions that a user can follow. It should also have a l ist of any codes, available reports, system outputs, a troubleshooting guide, work a rounds, and be current on updates. The Training manual or user manual will help the user by providing a guide for future reference and for training. The training manual will help decrease questions and improve efficiency. The more information that is available for the user the more proficient they will be at using it.Training end users is very important. This could mean the difference between an efficient and easy flowing system or a cumbersome, difficult to use nightmare. Visuals should be used to make training easier and provide future training material references. If there are inquiries that are not frequently performed, the end user might not recall how to initiate the inquiries and having a visual to refer to, might help the end user be more efficient when conducting these inquires.Support Maintenance PlanIts not enough to just implement a system and fully integrate it into the new business sy stem. There must be a support system that covers common mistakes and helps people locate answers to their technical questions. And along with the system support there also must be some type of maintenance schedule that keeps the system healthy, like frequent updates to keep the system up to date and as free from bugs as possible.Software SupportIn order for a system to operate at full potential the software must remain up to date with all of the bug fixes and auspices issues that comes with having software. Having your software up to date could very well be the lifeline of your company. If your software fails, then the work production conducted on that system will also fail.Hardware Support beneficial as important as software support is hardware support. Hardware consists of several critical and bodily components of an IT system. These components include but are not limited to servers, systems used to store data, personal computers (PC) and the networks that tie them all together. When it comes to business communication is the key, and this doesnt exclude the communication of the IT systems.Network SupportLike previously mentioned, networks are the communication for IT systems. Keeping your network up and running can be a little difficult to deal with. When a network goes down then every piece of hardware on that network has no communication. Unfortunately network issues usually get dealt with as soon as they happen. What is recommended is to have a preventative maintenance schedule in increments of monthly, bimonthly, semiannually, annually or biannually to periodically check the chassis of the network before it fails resulting in a downed network. When software is merged over into a company system there are user manuals and lists of known and unknown bugs for the system. Each member should have been briefed on the new software and also provided the information included in the user manuals and the known and unknown bug reports. For the hardware and network, preventative maintenance is the best way to avoid a downed asset. And a well maintained support system with frequent updates will ensure your software stays up todate with the latest security and bugs fixes.ConclusionThis thorough analysis and all aspects carefully and fully examined, the proposed project will not only meet, but exceed the request of Kudler Fine Foods for implementing a rewards program. The use of cutting edge technology in both hardware and software aspects will ensure a smooth running system for geezerhood to come. The incorporation of the rewards program and the system upgrades should not only increase profitability, but brand loyalty from customers as well. The system meets all required needs of Kudler Fine Foods to include time scheduling, budget, and both short and long term goals.ReferencesApollo Group Inc. (2011). Kudler Fine Foods. Light in August Essay Example for Free

Light in August EssayWilliam Faulkners celebrated legend Light in August says the tale of an orphan Joe Christmas, who has an unknown or doubtful ancestry who considers himself to be part-black. The novel includes clarified themes that involve issues of gender, race, community and religion. The capture of the racist individualism and the portrayal of Calvinistic religion are the important features of the novel. Light in August is one of the best works of William Faulkner. The story starts with Lena Grove, a helpless heavy(predicate) girl (from Alabama) who set out of her house in search of her unborn babys fuss Lucas Burch. Lucas Burch had actually escaped from Lena so that he need not bear the burden of incurhood. Lenas hunt down for Lucas Burch make her reach another humans with the same name Byron band. He was a simple man who makes friendship with Lena and later go in love with her. Byron was kindhearted and provided Lena with home and security that the actual Byro n Bunch (the childs father) could not provide. After that we can lift up Byron narrating his feelings for Lena to the former Presbyterian minister Rev.Gail Hightower who was pushed to withdraw from his ministry as his wife committed suicide. In the middle of this strange story between Lena Grove and Lucas Burch, there appears Joe Christmas the roommate of Lucas Burch. He was an orphan working in the planing mill like Byron Bunch. The word Christmas was added to his name as it was on the day of Christmas that he reached the orphanage. Christmas was too not sure about his ancestry as he wandered crosswise in search of his lineage a voyage for self-discovery.Christmas journey led him to Jefferson, Mississippi where he falls in a dangerous relation with Joanna Burden spinsterish civil rights activist. This affair led him to grave destruction. The approximately interesting theme of Light in August is the Southern issue with racial identity. Joe is mistreated and blue as people suspec t that he has a black ancestry. They never him the way they treat bloodless people (Dondlinger, 98-125). We can find in Light in August that majority of the offices are influenced by the whimsy of race disparity. For example, Joanna Burden, Joe Christmas, Doc Hines, Nathaniel Burde and lastly Percy Grimm are some or the other way influenced by the concept of race (Towner, 45-65). Some of the characters become victims of the senseless racial classification and suffer. Others who are out of this bane believe that there is nothing wrong in treating blacks inhumanly on the basis of racial difference. Racial distinction is quite acceptable for them (Dondlinger, 98-125). For example The Jefferson sheriff, Watt Kennedy appears to be a decent man. However we can see him punishing a randomly chosen black person in an unwished investigation (appeared unwanted at first). Similarly several other characters are found to be under the grip of the notion of race. Gender to a fault plays a cruci al role in the novel Light in August. Male-female identity and relations is an important topic. For example, we can find Joe being hostile to women. Lenas babys father Lucas Burch also ran away from his pregnant wife he was also fleeing away from women.Byron Bunch also did not have any plans to marry and was living a lone(a) vivification till Lena comes. He was adjusting his life in such a way that he could continue living alone. Rev. Gail Hightower also do not have a good fellowship with women as he led his wife to suicide. Another character Joanna Burden does not even marry. However we can find that the author never attempts to contrast the lonely life of these unfortunate characters with any keen or satisfied normal family or love relationships until the novel reaches the last chapter. We can see that the marriage of Hines and McEachern was also not a happy one. Moreover the Armstids also do not appear to have any love among them. Finally it appears to come to a happy end when Byron Bunch moves away with Lena Grove. But disappointment suddenly comes in she refuses him to share her bed. That relation also seems to be failure. The only relationship that appears to be happy is the relationship of the furniture dealer and his wife. They only had a relationship that had any trace of happiness or satisfaction.

Young Goodman Brown Essay Example for Free

Young Goodman dark-brown Es citeThe volume breathing in the United States of America ar some of the most liberated battalion in the world. The majority of the people living in this country argon well aware of their religious license and human rights. It is therefore hard to imagine that more than 300 course of resumes ago, there was a sort of people living in Massachu comets who could not tolerate others especially those whose views are not in conformity to their own. The Puritans were both celebrated and reviled in hi drool. exclusively for Nathaniel Hawthorne the modality they persecuted non-conformists make him loathe them. The barely problem is that he is related to some of the most notorious figures of that era. He wrote a significant number of working to help him deal with his connection to this men and the Young Goodman brownness is hotshot best example of how he tried to exorcise the demons of the past. The Author Nathaniel Hawthorne was born on July 4, 1804. He was born in a invest used to be called capital of Oregon, Massachu fixts. His hometown was later renamed to Danvers, Massachusetts and probably for good reason. In 1692 there was a substantial witch hunt in this town.Suspected witches were hanged and burned. His ancestors were leading men of Salem. One of them was William Hathorne who settled in the resolution in the ahead of time part of the 17th century and then went on to sustain one of Salems spiritual builders and made a significant contri simplyion in creating a theocratic ordering (Meltzer, 10). William Hathorne held many offices including magistrate and as a military leader who forced the Indians place of their homeland. Later on Nathaniel Hawthorne provide use some of his exploits and misdeeds as the background for his stories. In order to have some perspective, in the year that Nathaniel Hawthorne was born, it was also the same year that Thomas Jefferson was reelected president of the United States and a stir(predicate) the same judgment of conviction when Lewis and Clark set forth on an expedition to explore the West (Meltzer, 15). It message that when Hawthorne wrote Young Goodman chocolate-brown America was slake a relatively two-year-old country and thus the lessons of the past are still fresh in the memories of many most especially those who came from the primary settlements such as in Massachusetts. For Nathaniel Hawthorne his darkest secret lies in the occurrence that his ancestors earned the reputation of chasing down the wicked like a bloodhound (Meltzer, 12). The following best describes the office staff in the Salem witch trials While the witch-hunt craze lasted, men and women, young and old, were jailed, their property confiscated and they were forced to comprise testimony against innocent others. The courts central aim was to get a confession out of the accused.About fifty people gave in to the intense pressure and some were executed (Meltzer, 11). It will becom e apparent later on that Nathaniel Hawthorne made a realization that he could do something about the degrading actions of his ancestors by becoming a writer. But as mentioned earlier American in the mid-19th century was not exactly a highly industrialized nation. This is bad news for an aspiring writer like Hawthorne because this means that it is extremely difficult to earn a decent living writing short stories and novels. He had a rough start as a writer. But then he tack together his niche, he found his own unique style and the rest is history. The Story The Young Goodman embrown is one of the more authorised works of Nathaniel Hawthorne and it is about the religious experience of a young man named Young Goodman brown. The main quotation was married to a young woman named Faith and one day decided to take on a strange journey deep into the woods right after sunset. It is a curious time to start traveling to another town or to any particular location. It discharges out that Youn g Goodman dark-brown was invited to attend a clandestine meeting in the darkest part of the woods. The story took a sudden turn when the highly religious Young Goodman browned was discovered to be meeting with the devil incarnate (McCabe, par. 1). Hawthorne made a cryptic introduction of the devil when he wrote the following But the only thing about him that could be fixed upon as remark adequate to(p) was his staff, which bore the likeness of a great black snake. So curiously wrought, that it might almost be seen to twist and wiggle itself, like a living serpent. This, of course, moldiness have been an ocular deception, assisted by the uncertain light. Hawthorne did not elaborate why the pious young man consented to a meeting with the devil. This difficulty is exacerbated by the declaration of Young Goodman Brown who said We are a people of prayer, and good works, to boot, and abide no such wickedness. The abovementioned excerpt may help swear out that question Young Goodman Bro wn was deceived and did not realize at first that he was talking to Satan. But that is not the most interesting part of the story. The tale became more complicated when Young Goodman Brown cut the most highly respected people in Salem village taking part in the said devious meeting. The young man could not believe his eyes when he power saw discretion Cloyse, Deacon Gookin, and the old minister of Salem. The confusion was made more intense by the presence of cognize sinners including the hated sorcerers from the heathen tribes. The religious people of his village spoke against their kind and yet all are gathered under the trees, seeming to enjoy each others company. It was also revealed to Young Goodman Brown that the prim and proper la drop deads in Salem village are guilty of either murder or unbridled lust. He was shocked to find out about the hypocrisy and the deception. But his life was about to be destroyed by what he saw next. In the beginning of the story Hawthorne made it uninfected that aside from religion Young Goodman Browns purpose in life is to love and nurse his wife, Faith. He was not only madly in love with his young and beautiful wife but he considered her as his anchor and helps him keep focus. At the climax of the story however, Young Goodman Brown saw his wife in the meeting and willingly participated in the demonic rituals. Needless to say, the young man was low and he would never recover. He went on to live for a extensive time. At his funeral he was survived by an older looking Faith, by his children and grandchildren. But he died a broken man full of gloominess that his family never bothered to inscribe anything in his tombstone. It seems that it is best for him to die rather than live. The Context As they say it is all about context. The story can be interpreted different ways but the make interpretation will have to have an understanding of the context. One critic provided the initial foray into the study of context when he wro te, Despite Hawthornes reputation as a romancer who preferred to create a neutral territory, somewhere between the real world and fairy-land he paid careful attention to historical settings for most of his literary works (Person, 16). Hawthorne based his story on historical facts but most significantly he based it on the actions of his ancestors.A deeper examination of his lineage will reveal that, Puritanism and the history of early Massachusetts settlements Massachusetts Bay, Plymouth, and Salem form one important context in which to understand Hawthornes writing (Person, 16). It must be tear downd that Nathaniel Hawthornes great-great-great grandfather was William Hathorne. William Hawthorne was well known for ordering one Quaker woman Ann Coleman to be whipped while walking the streets of Salem. John Hathorne the son of William Hathorne was also made notorious by presiding in the equally infamous Salem witch trials in 1692.One should also note that the letter w is missing from the last names of the aforementioned ancestors. This could mean that the author was less than stir to be associated with these men. In fact, Hawthorne referred to each of these ancestors as a bitter persecutor who possessed all the puritanic traits both good and evil. Hawthorne felt haunted by these ancestors and took shame upon himself (Person, 17). It can be said that Nathaniel Hawthorne had to chasten what was done in the past through his stories and novels. The link to the Salem witch trials and the plot of Young Goodman Brown can be seen in how Hawthorne used details from the trial and incorporated it into the story. The most important shot of the Salem witch trial that Hawthorn used was encapsulated in a concept called specter take the stand (Person, 18). This is the belief that people could give Satan permission to mimic them in a supernatural way and then using that likeness, the devil could then move freely within the community to tempt others. In Young Goodman Br own the concept of spectral evidence was used to the hilt.Critics assert that the people that Young Goodman Brown encountered are the specters of everyone he knew (Person, 18). Unfortunately, the young man believed the specter to be the real thing and as a result his life was turned upside down. The sense of gloom felt by Young Goodman Brown is but a reflection of what Hawthorne felt because what his ancestors did he could not forget, It was a family bloodstain Nathaniel Hawthorne could never rid himself, of unconstipated after more than a hundred years had passed since those ancestors died (Meltzer, 14). But he tried his best. The Intentions of the Authorestablish on the preceding discussion and based on a careful analysis of Young Goodman Brown it would appear that Hawthorne had at least three intentions when he began to write this piece of literature and these are listed as follows 1. Hawthorne wanted to show that it is counterproductive to have legalistic communities 2. Hawthor ne wanted to show that religious bigotry accomplishes nothing of long lasting significance 3. Hawthorne wanted to show that some of the religious people in the past are guilty of hypocrisy and if truth be told they deserved to be hanged and burned just like the pretend witches in the Salem witch trials and finally4. Hawthorne tried to demonstrate that suspicion can lead to qualm and paranoia. Nathaniel Hawthorne was able to accomplish all of the above by creating a great work of fiction. In this work of fiction he used the aforementioned concept called spectral evidence to make Young Goodman Brown believed that the people he saw were indeed acting on their own free will. It was an improbable story but worked well to develop the ideas of Hawthorne. It was the contrasting subplots the first one shows a group of pious people living in Salem village, the second one shows the same group of people living a double life by being true worshippers of the devil. In Hawthornes storyline he was able to criticize and make fun of the religious order of yesteryears. He also made no qualms in exposing the excesses of the Puritans. He was also able to show that if people isolate themselves by persecuting others especially the nonconformists and driving them out of the community then they will lack the necessary feedback mechanism that will tell them they are living in excess. The tragedy of Young Goodman Brown is the lack of communication and the inability to reach out to others as shown by the behavior of the main character. Conclusion In Young Goodman Brown the story can only be understood by examining the historical background of Nathaniel Hawthorne. Hawthornes ancestors participated in the violent persecution of those who failed to conform to the standards set forth by the Puritans. This means that those who disagree can leave anytime but for those who wanted to stay, they must apprehend to live by the rules. Those who will not conform will have to suffer by flogging, ha nging, and burning. For Nathaniel Hawthorne construct a highly legalistic society can backfire and instead of creating a harmonious community the spin-off is hypocrisy and secret sins. But most importantly if people isolate themselves then they are hinder progress in their spiritual journey. By erecting a facade of religiosity or by not opening up and reaching out to others, people will become paranoid and die with an unresolved inner turmoil. In the case of Young Goodman Brown he made a misunderstanding of judging the specters as real and so he decided not to be in mastication with his own people. There could also be another interpretation, that what he encountered were not specters and that what really happened is that he knock off asleep and dreamt that he was in a demonic meeting attended by religious leading and his wife. Irregardless of which one is truth, Young Goodman Brown could have fixed everything if only he reached out to his wife, to his pastor, to the elders of t he church service and initiated dialogue. But unfortunately Young Goodman Brown took the easy path and it is to build a high ring made out of pride and the erroneous thinking that he alone knew the truth.Works Cited Alkana, Joseph.
