To throw off her happy, her economise (Monsieur Loisel) gives her the money that he saves to her so that she could buy a ball g declare. She borrows a diamond necklace from her rich friend, Mme. Forestier. After the ball, she couldnt find the neck lace and because of her dignity, she couldnt involve herself to tell her friend. She ends up acquire an identical necklace, which she can non afford without debt. This causes the Loisel agree to experience the hardness of low-class life. In the end, it is revealed that the necklace is a fake.
